I’m so thankful spring is here. It’s so vital to my health & well-being, I can’t even express how much I need warmth & sunshine on my face. It’s so lovely to open the doors and let the warm breeze in while working. This week, the children are going camping with their nonnie & papa in their fancy RV. I have to say, I always get a little sad when I know they’ll be gone more than a day or two. They’re just such a huge part of my life that it’s like what on earth am I going to do with myself to fill all this time?! I love working so I’ll probably work A LOT & get caught up, maybe do a little shopping, go to the farmers market, perhaps give the rental half bath a little make-over (sorry Case….the nesting never ends haha!!), finish packing the house up somewhere in between all this, & I managed to pick up Eat.Pray.Love for $5 at Target….anyone seen it? Is it worth the 2 hour investment? I love me some Julia Roberts, and for $5 bucks it can’t be that bad, right?
As for the shopping bit, I have seriously no idea what I wore last spring…..apparently nothing because that’s about all that’s in my closet. I get in ruts with outfits especially since I’ve become a mom (not that it’s an excuse…but it’s my excuse). I seriously used to spend hours playing in my closet, coming up with outfits (very Carrie Bradshaw)…..then I got busy and kind of over it. Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion, love looking at fashion, and love shooting fashion inspired shoots. But, I’ve gone through this Albert Einstein period….this is what I’ve made my morning decision into : 1. Black T-shirt or White T-shirt 2. These jeans or these jeans. But I can say, it makes it easy for switching up my accessories (which I’m a huge fan of…love me some accessories, it can totally change the look). And honestly, I don’t wear too much color. Never have, probably never will. So there you have it folks….I’m boring, but don’t worry I’ll bust out some hot orange polish on my nails just to jazz it up.
